Day 2: 5 Fast Ways to Up Your Visibility – Listen to Find Your Perfect Audience

Day 2: Listen to Find Your Perfect Audience

Today is DAY 2 of 5 Fast Ways to Up Your Visibility, exclusively from the content in BeVisible.club, to empower you with the tools to become more visible to your perfect audience.

Today’s strategy is all about LISTENING. The most overlooked marketing strategy.

Day 2 starts NOW, Listen to Find Your Perfect Audience.

Listening before creating content, products, and services invites us to learn more about our perfect audience.

Think about what people share as they post on social media, in the comments they leave on the posts of others, and what they share on podcast interviews.

A few months ago, I was a guest on the STORYTELLHER podcast and shared personal stories that I had never shared before and how they shaped me. If I were part of your perfect audience, you would be surprised about how much you could learn about me and others who have similar backgrounds.

From there, you can learn more about the host, Deborah Kevin, and the other guests on her podcast, who are authors, speakers, and small business owners. Many are women over 50 who also share personal stories and what they value. You can learn so much by listening to a few of these interviews to deeply understand what makes this collective audience tick.

Also, read the show notes and reviews for more audience intelligence. There are usually links to books or other references mentioned during the interview. Don’t forget to follow the podcasts and leave reviews, too. Hosts notice this, and in addition to being kind, it’s a relationship-building strategy.

Now that you have ONE podcast that speaks to your audience, you’ll want to find more. There are many ways to do this, but why not lean into AI to help?

The prompt below is from the prompt library in BeVisible.club. Use as a starting point. Simply copy and paste into any AI tool and fill in the blanks:

  • Please suggest 10 popular podcasts related to [topic] that would be good targets for an expert guest to pitch for an interview related to [add area of expertise]. These podcasts should have large audiences and influential hosts.
    • Listeners are [add demographics and interests of audience].
    • The podcast must be active and have recent interviews.
    • The podcast must be in an interview format.
    • Preferred geographic regions [state/countries]

AND now that you have the name of a podcast that speaks to your perfect audience, add one more line – podcasts that are similar to STORYTELLHER, and include a link to the podcast.

I like to work with AI Tools this way: I take the information I know to be true and THEN ask the tools to add what they know—something I like to call Combined Intelligence.
