I appreciate all efforts to debunk ageism. But Forbes-style “50 Over 50” lists? They celebrate a narrow slice of accomplished women. They exclude the incredible women I know.

The solo parents. The women caring for aging relatives. The ones building businesses while managing compromised health. The coaches, healers, artists, technologists, financial advisors, and entrepreneurs who are our mothers, sisters, friends, mentors, and colleagues.

Their work matters. Their stories matter. And they deserve to be seen and heard.

On March 15, 2023, I launched The Real 50 Over 50 to change that narrative. To date, I’ve gathered 175+ women over 50 who are quietly, or not so quietly, making a difference and redefining what’s possible in their Third Act.
