What do you do and why do you do it?
I am an energy healer focusing on a Body-Centered/Somatic approach to therapy. I am deeply passionate about my work because of how my own life has been impacted and transformed through this model of work. I am committed to helping this broken world heal because I know firsthand it is possible! As we each take responsibility for and heal our own pain and suffering, we contribute to the collective healing of our world. Look at the state of our planet; it is in desperate need of healing.
What changed for you after age 50?
I learned to say a very new and helpful two-letter word – “NO”. LOL
What would you tell the 20 or 30-year-old YOU?
Get a therapist as quickly as possible so you can become the best version of YOU.
What do you think you’ll tell yourself in retrospect at the end of your life?
I love, accept and approve of you Tina Walsh.
What impact do you think increased visibility can have on your business?
More healing can happen!
Who or what inspires you and why?
My teachers and mentors, Stuart Alpert and Naomi Lupin-Alpert, the creators of Hartford Family Institute’s Body-Centered Psychotherapy and Subtle Energy Healing Program. They have guided and mentored me for the past 18 years in learning that we all make perfect sense; our behaviors, patterns, thoughts, and feelings, are based on what we energetically bonded and attached to in early childhood.
“You’re worth it. You’re worth having a life that you desire and that you love.”

The Brief
Tina Walsh is the founder of Lighten Up Wellness, she’s a cutting-edge therapist with a holistic approach who helps you journey into the best version of yourSELF.
I’ve been a client of Tina’s for years. She’s helped me heal many old wounds, and her compassion is endless.
Tina specializes in gently guiding you as you energetically heal old patterns that reside in your nervous system. Whatever behavior or pattern in your life that isn’t working manifests in your body, which can ultimately lead to disease.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from Tina is that we all have everything we need within. This led me to change the way I live and how I work.
On the other side of your pain lives joy, freedom, and liberation!
Self-reflection and establishing boundaries when you reach 50
The conversation went deep into the significance of self-reflection and learning to establish boundaries when one reaches their 50s. Tina highlighted how this period is an opportunity to come back to one’s self, especially as grown children become more independent.
Learning to say no and establishing better boundaries as a way to balance one’s desires and responsibilities. “I think the 50s are a monumental time to do a lot of self-reflection about how do I want to spend the rest of my life.”
Healing yourself in order to impact the collective
Tina shared that self-healing is a way to influence and impact the collective. She stressed that engaging in self-healing work helps us to better understand ourselves and our needs, and this understanding allows us to have a more significant impact on the world around us. “Awareness is the gift, and sometimes it feels so painful when the thing comes up to surface… but yet if it doesn’t we don’t have a choice.”
The role of a mentor or guide in healing and self-improvement
Healing is hard work. There are parts you can’t see, and it’s crucial role that a mentor or guide supports the journey of self-improvement and healing. An experienced guide leads you to trust yourself, your inner wisdom, and your own heart spirit. Ultimately, YOU have the answers. She added that it’s also important for the guide to keep working on themselves, as it helps maintain their integrity and effectiveness in guiding others through their journeys.
