The Real 50 Over 50 – Guest Form

For saying YES to being one of the Real 50 over 50 Women!

This idea came about for a few reasons:

  • The Forbes’ 50 over 50 list is full of wonderful women doing amazing work… but they are mostly well-known household names.
  • There are countless articles on ageism and all the other isms too – women get the short end of too many sticks.
  • And don’t even get me started on Don Lemon of CNN if you don’t know Google it.
  • I’m almost 59, my “no-bullshit” button was installed almost a decade ago and is active.

As I pondered all of this, I started to make a mental list of all the amazing women I know. Then I grabbed a pen and paper. I hit 50 names in a few minutes. Then I ran the idea by a few friends, and they gave me more names. I posted on social media and have even more names.

The Real 50 over 50 list was born! I am very excited to see what happens when this powerhouse posse gathers together. When you see this list, you will laugh and cry at the same time. We are all creating change and quietly making a difference. What could be possible if more people knew about us and if we could collaborate in creative ways that can bring more change to families, communities, and businesses? I don’t know. But I want to find out.

This is not about monetizing. I have no doubt business will happen, but my vision did not include a pitchfest. It’s all about making a collective impact.

The plan is to host a weekly LIVE interview for a year, but it very well may keep going. We shall see.

In addition to the weekly interview:

  • We will have a kickoff party on Tuesday, March 14th at noon ET – it will be live on LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Weekly interviews will be on Wednesdays at noon ET.
  • I have the beginnings of a Real 50 over 50 page on my website and will create a spotlight page for each guest.
  • I’ll share it on social media, and it will be part of my marketing.
  • I’ll also pitch for PR opportunities, there are no guarantees, but I think it will draw interest.
  • I hope you will share too. I will be providing marketing content, so it’s easy for you to customize in your voice and share.
  • If you do not want to be included beyond the interview and spotlight page, please indicate it on the form below. 

    I have no expectations other than we show up, we celebrate each other, we connect, and we collaborate. There is such a wealth of wisdom, grit, grace, brilliance, and goodness… 

    WE are the REAL women showing up daily for our families, communities, clients, and hopefully ourselves. I’m curious, what can we do together?

    Over the past few years, I have known that the way forward is in community and collaboration.
