About me
Lisa Danforth is a Work-Life Wellbeing Strategist and Leadership Coach. Her mission is to help people design a saner approach to success so they can build a business or career that will create the life they want to live, not consume it. Lisa is a 30-year, five-time entrepreneur.
She’s a Certified The ONE Thing Facilitator, Certified Co-Active Coach, and graduate of Tara Mohr’s Playing Big Facilitators Course. Her clients have dubbed Lisa “the hand-holding ass-kicker,” she matches just the right amount of push with a dose of love.
One of Lisa’s past ventures was catering. Recently, she went back to her roots and launched Tonique, an alcohol-free bar service in beautiful Burlington, Vermont, offering a fun and robust menu of craft cocktails, beer, and wine. All house syrups, shrubs, and juices are crafted using fresh ingredients.
Tonique’s mission is to redefine social experiences by keeping the ritual and shifting our collective relationship with alcohol. Whether sober, sober-curious, pregnant, an athlete, or looking for ways to improve your mental health and wellbeing, Tonique provides an extensive selection of non-alcoholic options for your event.
What do you do and why do you do it?
I help business owners and leaders to create a saner approach to success. I do it because I’ve experienced what life is like when we lack boundaries and the ability to pause and choose life intentionally.
What changed for you after age 50?
Caring less about what others think of me.
What would you tell the 20 or 30-year-old YOU?
Trust yourself. You are smarter and stronger than you know.
What impact do you think increased visibility can have on your business?
Growth of my business, income, and impact.
Who or what inspires you and why?
Brené Brown. She tells it like it is, without apology.
Something else I’d like to share.
I love to talk about soft skills/power skills, boundaries, and the power of a pause.
