WISDOM PANEL: Video Shorts
Words of Wisdom from our Panel
The Brief
The October Wisdom Panel is about COMMUNITY and building something bigger than you.
Since starting the Real 50 over 50 project, one recurring topic is that we feel alone. This amplifies as we step into our 2nd and 3rd acts; we crave community.
I’ve gathered a panel from our community who are experts in bringing people together in different ways and for different reasons. This could have easily been a much bigger panel, so there will likely be another one.

Highlights
The Importance of Community
The panelists emphasized that community is essential for personal growth, support, and creating meaningful change. They discussed various ways to build and nurture communities, both online and offline. Another point made by the group is that communities can be small or large. What matters is the shared values and willingness to be vulnerable and open to deeper connections. This approach fosters trust among members and it organically becomes a place they wish to return.
Diverse Perspectives
The panel stressed the value of including diverse voices and perspectives within communities, as this enriches the experience for all members and promotes personal growth.
Leadership and Empowerment
The discussion touched on the role of leadership in community building and how empowering others can lead to stronger, more sustainable communities.
Technology and Community
Panelists explored how technology can be leveraged to create and maintain communities, especially in an increasingly digital world.
