Anita teachers The Wisdom Way through her coaching programs, workshops, speaking engagements, on her podcast The Joyful Journey, and in her new book, Whispers of the Soul – A Guide to Clarity, Confidence and Joy.

When she’s not coaching, recording, or writing, you’ll find Anita walking in nature or exploring the world with her husband, best friend, and partner-in-crime of 36 years.

What do you do and why do you do it?

Four years ago I was at a break point.

My world, as I had built it, was crumbling around me, and it sent me into a tailspin of fear and anxiety.

Through a series of synchronicities, I stumbled upon a book, and this one line leaped off the page: “Frustration and anxiety comes from not listening to the soul.” That’s when I realized I wasn’t listening to my soul. That’s when I began to devote myself to the study of relearning this skill (we all know how to do it innately), and I transformed my life. Finding joy, purpose, confidence, connection, clarity, and well-being in all areas of my life.

This led me to develop The Wisdom Way method, leading those who adapt it to conscious living and a more fulfilling life. Teaching people The Wisdom Way is more than something I simply want to do. I feel called to share it with the world. Which is why I launched the Joyful Journey Podcast, started offering retreats, became a certified life coach and wrote a book. Everything I do is about guiding people to harness the power of inner wisdom so they can create a life aligned with their highest selves. Imagine a world where more people operated from a place of their highest self. This would be a different world!

What changed for you after age 50?

My love for and acceptance of self.

What would you tell the 20 or 30-year-old YOU?

Look inward for answers. Stop looking outward for them.

What do you think you’ll tell yourself in retrospect at the end of your life?

You are fucking awesome 🙂

What impact do you think increased visibility can have on your business?

Increased speaking opportunities. My goal is to touch the lives of 1 million people. I need visibility to reach that goal.

Who or what inspires you and why?

The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Two men who lead from a place of inner wisdom and with compassion, humour and joy. They have both had a huge impact in the world today.
