Mallika Malhotra, The Brand CEO is an award-winning brand strategist, mentor, and speaker. After years of working in corporate advertising on renowned brands like L’Oreal and Oil of Olay, Mallika now empowers women entrepreneurs to get clear on their brand message, define their power niche and become sought-after experts.

Her friends and clients call her the brand energizer because she encourages stepping out of comfort zones, taking action, and implementing ideas. When not building brands, Mallika is sipping coffee or red wine, reading a stack of books, and dreaming of global adventures. She lives in beautiful coastal Maine with her husband, three sons, and their mini Bernedoodle, Jax.

What do you do and why do you do it?

I am a brand strategist, mentor, and speaker dedicated to helping female entrepreneurs who struggle with standing out in their competitive industry. My goal is to empower them to stand out by leveraging their unique strengths, clarifying their niche, and crafting a compelling brand message that attracts clients and opportunities. I believe in supporting women to step into leadership, unlock their full potential, and redefine success based on their own terms. Together, we’ll build a brand that commands attention and sets them on a path to thrive.

What changed for you after age 50?

After turning 50, I experienced a significant shift in my perspective. I started caring less about what others were doing or saying and instead focused on my own personal and professional growth. I realized the importance of finding purpose and passion in everything I do while also simplifying my life to create more space for what truly matters. This change has allowed me to embrace authenticity, pursue meaningful endeavors, and find greater fulfillment in all areas of my life.

What would you tell the 20 or 30-year-old YOU?

Don’t get caught up in comparing yourself to others. Remember that success is unique to each individual, and it comes in various forms. Trust in your own journey, as you already possess everything necessary to achieve the freedom and fulfillment you desire. Believe in yourself, stay focused on your goals, and keep pushing forward with confidence.

What do you think you’ll tell yourself in retrospect at the end of your life?

At the end of your life, what truly matters is the impact you’ve made and the relationships you’ve built. It’s not all about money and status. Take care of your family, prioritize self-care, and leave a legacy based on love and kindness. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures, travel, indulge in good food and company, dance, spend time outdoors, and nurture meaningful friendships. Above all, remember to have fun and embrace the moments that bring you joy.

What impact do you think increased visibility can have on your business?

Visibility is the key to unlocking the full potential of your business. It captures attention, ignites curiosity, and establishes the foundation of know, like, and trust. By showing up as the face of your brand, you can create genuine connections with your audience, fostering credibility and loyalty that goes beyond mere transactions. In today’s dynamic marketplace, being seen is essential for fast-tracking conversions and paving the way to your success.

Who or what inspires you and why?

Bobbi Brown is a true inspiration in the world of entrepreneurship. After selling Bobbi Brown Cosmetics to Estée Lauder, she didn’t stop there. Instead, she embarked on a new venture by launching Jones Road, a fresh line of beauty products. Her ability to constantly reinvent herself showcases her entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering drive.

What makes Bobbi Brown stand out is her passion for creating products that empower individuals to embrace their natural beauty. With Jones Road, she continues to prioritize quality, inclusivity, and authenticity. Her commitment to delivering innovative and high-performing beauty solutions resonates with consumers and reflects her entrepreneurial vision.
