About me

Tina is a pioneer in the world of online business – having founded the International Association of Online Business Managers in 2009, the home of the Certified OBM® Training. In the 14 years since its inception, the OBM industry has become established as a key role on the team of fast-growing online and virtually-based businesses.

As a coach and consultant, Tina is passionate about helping powerful women who are here to make a difference.

Her clients are high achievers who don’t just want a thriving business – they want to be leaders in their industry and are here to leave a mark on this world.

What do you do and why do you do It?

Leadership & Team Management + Helping folks create certification and licensing programs.

I believe that as CEOs we have very specific work to do in the world and if we are bogged down in all the ‘day to day’ stuff we can’t do that work.

I also believe that when you have created something that works – and have been making a great living at it – there can be huge value in offering that to others.

What changed for you after age 50?

Well it’s only been a few months, but between turning 50 and losing my mom in January I’m really feeling called to make a shift.

I’m playing with the idea of Retire-ish – I still want and need to work, but am tired of the hustle and grind. I am freeing myself up from the shoulds and coulds that have driven me for years and am looking to build more freedom into my weeks.

What would you tell the 20 or 30-year-old YOU?

All of those things you are worried about now will be totally fine – you are on track, keep going!

What do you think you’ll tell yourself in retrospect at the end of your life?

I’m proud of showing up as me, being real and working hard for a season, and then working less hard for the rest of it.

What impact do you think increased visibility can have on your business?

More fun conversations for sure!

Increased business. Increased connections – would love to be doing more podcasts/interviews and such.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My kids inspire me – they are 15 & 17 now and it’s so cool to see them on the verge of adulthood. Who they are. What they value. How thoughtful and purposeful they are about the things that really matter.

“Owning a business has been a personal growth journey for me. I believe it is for most of us.”

The Brief

Tina and I talked about everything from how we met about 15 years ago to kids growing up to transforming WITH our businesses.

As one of our younger women over 50, Tina shares what happened in her life after her recent 50th birthday and what retire-ish means to her. You’ll need to watch to find out!

We chatted about what it’s like to own a business, the good, the bad, and the ugly. And how it’s not for everyone, and it’s important to recognize what works best for ourselves and our values.

Tina is a champion of delegation and creating teams that support the business and the business owner. We chatted about finding that balance and sustainable way of doing things that align with our goals and what we want out of life. It’s not always about doing more, but sometimes doing less or doing things differently can make all the difference. It’s never too late to make changes and create the life that we truly want, and that includes in our business as well.

Catch the entire interview, and be sure to connect with Tina to learn more about her work.
