About me

So here’s the thing… The one thing I’m sure of is that if you are a transformation creator – an energy/light worker, a coach, a teacher – you are needed now more than ever.

I believe that when you “DO” marketing, you reach people. When you reach people – you create change. It’s really as simple as that.

Marketing becomes an act of service.

I’m Susan, and I help service-based professionals scale their businesses. You find joy, flow, and ease in your marketing so that you increase profits, save time, and protect your energy. Together, we can grow your business using sustainable methods that feel authentic to you. You don’t have to “do all the things” anymore. Focus on what works and feels like flow. Take intentional action on the things that offer a return on your time and energy.

What do you do and why do you do It?

Transformation creators (coaches and light workers) often feel overwhelmed and helpless when trying to do all ‘the things’ to grow their business. That’s why I created Rise Above Noise offering a personalized roadmap to help my clients find ease, joy, and flow as they ‘show up’ (that’s marketing, after all). My clients feel empowered to show up in their strength to attract and engage their aligned clients.

What changed for you after age 50?

After 50, I found confidence. I haven’t completely, but every day, I release the ‘shoulds’, the ‘imposter’, the ‘not enough’ a little bit more. This is on a personal, as well as professional level. Having read ‘The Four Agreements’ by Don Miguel Ruiz, I adopted his 4 main tenets: Be Impeccable With Your Word. Don’t Take Anything Personally. Don’t Make Assumptions. Always Do Your Best. As my own roadmap to showing up in every situation. This has been my best tool for letting go of some of my limiting beliefs.

What would you tell the 20 or 30-year-old YOU?

The main takeaway for my 20-year-old self is — other people’s opinions of you are not your business. Be Impeccable With Your Word. Don’t Take Anything Personally. Don’t Make Assumptions. Always Do Your Best. When you live by the 4 agreements….. you show up exactly as you’re meant to be – and attract those who are meant to be in your life.

What do you think you would tell yourself in retrospect at the end of your life?

You loved and were loved. Fully. People felt calmer when in your presence.

What impact do you think increased visibility can have on your business?

By showing up – more and more – as who I am, unapologetically, I find that I am attracting not only my ideal transformation-creator clients but also the professionals who align with my energy and are walking a parallel path so that we can find the synergy to support each other.

Who or what inspires you and why?

Lately, I’ve been inspired by Brendon Burchard. He says (and I have adopted)

“Double down on whatever you do in the world that’s good, that contributes, that raises standards, that lifts values, that inspires people, and contributes in some way. Our world needs you now more than ever.”

Another inspiration is the community I lead: The Rise Together Active Learning Community – it’s a learning hub of connections and resources to help entrepreneurs ‘show up’ with confidence and purpose. The mission of the Community offers deeper ‘knowing’ vs simply ‘understanding’ how to do things.’ Growing a business is always easier within a dedicated community.

“I want to offer a mindset shift. And if we’re going to say do marketing, want you to just cross that out in your head and instead think replace those words with showing up for the people who need you.
